The exchange and integration of information between the actors involved in the processes of construction and interior design projects (architects, designers, engineers, manufacturers ,...), is one of the critical points that the construction and furniture industry must achieve in order to benefit from the enormous potential of the increased productivity that the application of information technology and communications offers. The project tries to link funFIDE the furniture industry and construction standards through representing these sectors. FunFIDE project, supported by IMPIVA and FEDER funds, and in which AIDICO, AIDIMA and ANTARA, is planned as a long term initiative. Firstly the complexity of the sectors of construction and furniture, and secondly it seeks to attain an important set of results: - Convergence funSTEP standards and FIDE.
- Development of applications that can understand both standards.
- Outreach to encourage the use of standards between players from both sectors.

The funStep team edited a video as a tool for showing the benefits of having funStep. In this humorous video you can see how two different couples enter in a furniture shop to buy some items for its place and the difficulties or easiness in choosing something of their likes and how easy is to buy a piece of furniture in a shop that communicates with its providers using funStep and how difficult it is to buy furniture in a shop that is not using funStep.
